Charles Edward WALL - My grandfather, Charles Edward Wall, lived in Cymmer Afan and had 3 sons, Ben, Joe and Charles and 1 daughter, Mary, who was known as Polly. My understanding is that my grandfather originated from Somerset. He married Mary James, who died 23 Dec 1939. Grandfather died on 14th February 1954 in Wales. He worked for MacAdam on the fourth bridge, to the best of my knowledge and also for the local council. Although I was told by my father, that the middle name of his father was Edward, this does not appear on his death certificate, nor on his grave stone. If anyone can tell me any more about my grandfather I would be very grateful. Susan Cole |
