was secretary to football association in early 1900's then director at arsenal football club. Looking for decendants and any info on his wife - name maiden name etc.

have you tried Googling for him

he was born april 14 1858 and I have tried googling him but doesn't help. Even looked in who was who but no mention of his wife (possible relation to my nan)

have looked at various cencus. The reason I am looking is because of the connection to my grandmother and Lady Wall. she died in Hove around 1963. I am new to all this. i have my mothers maiden name but draw a blank from there as my grandmother was married twice and I dont know her maiden name any help appreciated.

I don't know I was lead to beleive as a child she was my grandmother's sister but on looking further I am wondering if she was my grandmother's aunt. My grandmother was Ellen Mcguire(2nd marriage ist unknown) married to james and they lived in London. My mother beryl was their only child. All known relatives who could have helped either missing or deceased.

that has been the problem my mother was born on 8/11/1930 in london (stratford) but I have been unable to trace a birth certificate/ James was James Cockburn McGuire Ellen Martha Mcguire(born around 1890) but stumped over maiden name hence the enquiry re Frederick Wall!!

I dont know if your mum is still alive or not so have pm'd poss birth and that marriage I gave seems to fit

What about the birth I sent you? what marriage does'nt match? Ther is'nt a marriage between James mcguire and an Ellen apart from that one why do say they married in 1928? is it because your mother was born in 1930

Maybe Ellen was still married to her 1st husband when your mother was born?
