Hi, Trying to find my grandmother/family
Believe from Ballinrobe mayo.
On Marriage called Elizabeth J Tucker married Robert Percival Herbert Alverstoke Hampshire 1912.
Could be Josephine Elizabeth Tucker/Tougher.
Died in Ealing 1960 showed age as 70.
However they had to go back to Ireland in the 50s to the church to establish dob so 70 could be wrong.
Had a younger sister called Margaret with her in Ealing and think there may have been 4/5 siblings one called Brogan?
Thanks in advance for any help or leads Jacquie.

Her husband was a soldier in Ballinrobe dont know if there would be military records as they married in England and dont know if they returned to Ireland.

This family may be of interest to you but obviously too young to be your Elizabeth. Maybe worth keeping - just in case?

Father is 55 so could still be her father as I said I believed her to be Josephine Elizabeth so could be another daughter and had left home by 1911 ?

Robert's military records are on Ancestry. His wife is given as Elizabeth Josephine Tucker. They married at the Parish church, Gosport on 4th June 1912. The witnesses were Samuel and Louise(?) Bigmore. Robert had older brothers Thomas and William and sisters Mary, Elsie, Freda and Alice. His mother was Isabella.

His son Robert Cecil was born 3rd (?) June 1914 and baptised 18/08/1914 in Gibralter.

Sorry, it also says his father is Robert James.

All this doesn't help with Elizabeth though!

I think you will find her parents on the 1911 Irish when you get her Dad's name from the marriage certificate!

Just thought I would do a free search on the 1911 to see if she was lodging with Robert's parents! No luck though.
