my grandfathers name was leonard townsend born in 1888 in walthamstow london. his fathers name was william townsend he was born around 1851 in romsey hants. i would be very interested in hearing from anyone thinking they are related to my grandfather or greatgrandfather. my grandfather came from a large family so i presume that my greatfather did as well as that was how it was in those days so if you think your townsends are related please get in touch. my grandfathers siblings were nellie, grace daisey,walter,sidney and frank townsend all born in walthamstow and their mothers name was alice nee archer. |
