Trying to find Tookey

I am trying to find information on my maternal grandfather, Edward Tookey, who was born around 1876 in Leicester. My mother was born in March 1925 and her name is Peggy. Her mother was Nellie Adams and I believe that Edward Tookey was married to someone else at the time of my mother's birth and was not, therefore, involved in my mother's upbringing. She was brought up by my Grandmother and her husband Thomas Adams. My mother is 80 this year and has expressed an interest in finding out about her father while there is still time. Any help would therefore be appreciated. |

I don't believe Edward is anything to do with the Tookey's i'm tracing. I believe most of my relations came from the Devon area of the country. Although through the years they probably moved around. I've yet to find out. |
