Half-sisters - Joan and Miriam

Joan was born to Aldred John Timpson and Ellen Ruth (formerly Hopkins) on 31 March 1927. Miriam Christine was born on 7 November 1936. Joan married a US GI Norman Charles Woodruff in Battersea, South London in 1945 when she was 18 - they may all have gone to live in the US as no trace of of Ellen, Joan or Miriam in this country. Joan and Mirriam may still be alive and I would dearly love to make contact. The Timpsons and I believe the Hopkins lived in Battersea, South London. Joan drove an ambulance in World War II. Norman was in US Bomber Command stationed in Norfolk and Suffolk in 1944/45. I did not know I had any half-sisters until after my own mother died (Alfred's second wife) in 1987. If anyone knows anything at all, I would love to hear from you.
Many thanks.
