Hi, I have a query which I hope someone can help with, the individual I am looking for is Harriet Lumb Shaw 1861 (who was married to Levi Wheelwright) whose mother was Sarah Shaw, now according to census info her father is Alexander Wadsworth, but is not mentioned as being Sarah Shaw’s husband. |

Sylvia, one of the earlier census has him in the same household as "servant". I suspect he may have been a little more than a servant, pmsl. |

Well on the 1881 census the mother is down as a widower, and I have sometimes seen the children referred to as 'lumb wadsworth' I have almost come to the conclusion that he is there father but I will wait for the birth certificate. I just wondered why it wasn’t on the marriage cert. |

I saw on the 1881 census that John Henry (1866) and Sarah Ann(1871) are grandchildren, which of the lumb shaw sisters is there mother i dont rightly know yet. (and who has a clue who the father is because they are also down as lumb shaw) |

You're probably correct, but the problem will be in finding the truth, or in proving that he is. |

I note that someone has added to the children's name son ancestry on the 1881 that they could also be known as Wadsworth. |
