My gt grandfather Ben Ford b London/London/Middx 1833 became a mariner. Married 1864 to Sarah Davison of South Shields and I have his subsequent history. According to marriage cert. his father was Henry John Ford, Master Mariner.
1) I think the London/ London/ Middx refers to the old square mile which was The City. Can anyone tell me which districts that would have covered in 1833?
2) Does anyone know anything of his parents or siblings?
Thanks to anyone who may be able to help.
