I haven't tried that site before but will give it a go. I have alot more info that I haven't entered onto this site but have on another. I should get it all on here really. What was it with handing down names, there are about 8 genereations of Daniel Robinson's in that line, can get very confusing!

Thanks for your help Lorraine,

Joanne

Any information greatly recieved, have hit a dead end as he emigrated to USA after his wife Martha (nee Rosemergey) died in childbirth in 1889. Below is the info I have for him, am curious to see what became of him after this time, and if there is any truth in what my Grandma had told me.

Born; Daniel Robinson abt 1859 Runswick, Yorks
Married: Martha Rosemergey abt 1879 She was born abt 1861 in Cornwall.

Have census records for them from 1861-1881, last address was 50 Main Street, Skinningrove, Yorks. In 1881, he had 1 child Hannah M. After Martha died Daniel put his children apart from Hannah into Guisborough Workhouse when he emigrated to USA. I believe it was Utah he went to. In the 1891 census i found a Margaret 8, Alice 7, William 6, John Thomas 5 and a Beatrice 4. Beatrice Robinson was my Great Grandma.

If anyone can help, great or if you have another connection to my family maybe we can exchange info.

Thanks for reading...
