Newby Bridge is very familiar to me........or rather, it was, in my youth.

Our family outings at weekends were very often to the Lake District, and our route alomst always took us via NB.

Hi Reg,
Thank you for your condolences. My father was 93 and was born at lakeside Newby Bridge, I had managed to go back 7 generations in my Fathers family in the Lake Dstrict and he had been so interested. (The Iles/Morton is my husband side). He went into Residential care six months ago but his passing was very sudden, I had been with him only three hours before. I was pleased he had enjoyed the family research and have had some lovely e-mails from distant relatives.

Trying to find the parents of Emily Iles born approx 1874 Bedminster ( I think) Bristol. She married Francis Charles Morton B. approx 1873. They married in Bedminster 1895 (5c 1214). Also cannot find Francis Charles Morton on any census. In 1907 they lived at 10 Twinnell Rd, Stapleton, Bristol.
