A family mystery..........

I'm trying to find information about a James Parr c 1850.

James Parr eloped with Martha (also know as Mary Jane) Huntington/don to Aldershot. At this time he was in the army and is believed to have gone AWOL. After his marriage the moved to the US and James joined the army in the US. After a period of time he went AWOL from the US army and travelled back to the uk.

During this time James used several known names - James Howard, Rodger Anderson, James Parker.

They had 3 x daughters one of which was called Gertrude and one son named William. William was my great Grandfather and the name on his birth certificate is William Parker.

William married Rose White (B:Kilnhurst, Yorks 7/08/1888) and they had 3 children Winnifred, Laurence & Margaret Lilian (my grandmother)

If anyone has any extra details or connections please let me know.

Thanks.
