Hey there,

I've just found out that my grandad has the name O' Connor listed after his mother's maiden name Pett on his birth certificate. Perhaps he was illegitimate, as he was a Dr Barnados boy...

He was born on 27th August 1892 at 102 Eastgate, Bury St Edmunds. His mother Catherine ( late of Williams ) was his father's second wife. We think Pett was her maiden name.

HIs mother is Irish and worked for Guiness.

Does anyone know of any O ' Connors living near the Guiness brewery in Dublin ?

Sandy
