like i have said it should have been a post for death but as you say iit needed more info for that

David, please don't take offence, but why were we looking for Charles's marriage if you already have the certificate?

You can't always take the age at marriage as being true. People often lied. On my grandparents marriage certificate it says he is 39 (he was 42) and it says she was 28 (she was 23). Little lies to make the 19 year age gap appear smaller.

ive noe looked at charles evans marriage cert to elizabeth finnis
on this cert 1874 it states that he was 23 which makes him b 1851/52

There are too many Charles W. Evans deaths to be sure which is the right one without some idea of when and where he might have died.
