I am trying to connect ot Sarah Conway born c1836 somewhere in Ireland. Sarah came to Scotland and married Patrick McGoochan in 1858. They lived in the Cowgate area of Edinburgh. Sarah had many children. John, Mary, Patrck, Michael, Catherine, Felix, Francis to name a few. Her mothers maiden name was Brachen,(or thats what appears on the Marriage Cert.) There is no indicaton as to which part of Ireland they came from. She died in Edinbrgh after a fall in 1896. Patrick died in the poorhouse at Craiglockhart in 1903. I also beleive her to have had a brother called Thomas. If anyone can help, I owuld be most grateful. |
