STEWART LINES FROM GLASGOW

Looking for Stewart lines in Glasgow, (c) 1803. My grandfather james Stewart, born Glasgow 1803, relocated to Carlisle, married Mary Brown, b. 1807 Beaumont, Cumberland. I descend from their son James born 1838 Carlisle.
If Barbara Forrest reads this message, can you please respond, another member said that you have several Christiana Stewarts in your line, and I do as well. Seems to be tradition that eldest son was always named James.
I understand that there were few Stewart families living in Glasgow in 1800 so wonder why I cannot find info on my ancestors.
Greetings to everyone from Enzed....
