♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 17 Jan 2008 20:44

Hi

I've just checked my CD of marriages (1801-1837 Norfolk & some Suffolk)

Found a marriage of James Claxton and Sarah Tilley on 27/10/1818 in Bungay St Mary Suffolk. It may, or may not be the James and Sarah referred to.

I checked for any other Claxon/Clackson/Claxton's and only found two others for the parishes covered on my CD and they were both married in Fritton. Here they are incase they may be needed later:

Henry Nuthall Claxton & Caroline Kelly 18/4/1814
&
Richard Claxton & Mary Redgrave 4/1/1803

There are plenty of Claxtons in Norwich married. George, James, Wiliam ect ect so if you ever want me to look any up, please get back to me...note there are a few William's married to Elizabeths!!

Good Luck
Dee

Not too sure how you sort this one out.

Maybe getting the marriage certificate first is the best thing. That should tell you his father's name. Then you can move on from there

Heres the other George Clackson in 1851, if you know some of his siblings names you may be able to sort out the correct one.
