Can anyone help me with a problem?
Thomas Smith b1812c Lincolnshire came to Western Australia (According to the Dict. of Western Australian Vol 1 Red book) per the Westmoreland in 1840. Several people(including myself) have his father as being Thomas Smith b1783 Tottington Bury Lancashire, but on checking the 1841 cesus I find the 2 Thomas's listed. Either Thomas 1812 came out at a later date, bearing in mind he married in 1842, or Thomas 1783 is not his father. Sounds complicated and with a name like Smith I am hoping for some relation to come forward with the answer.
