Hi, I wonder if someone would be kind enough to solve a family myth/truth? I have been told that my father and /or uncle had a twin that died. Both my father and uncle are deceased now. I can't find either of them on the lancashire bmd index or the free bmd site. I was wondering if anyone had access to any other type of record. |

Thanks Julie.......DANIEL? well well, that's exciting, there's never been a mention of a Daniel. I only knew of uncle Jack (JOHN) Lawrence and Edward... There couldn't have been twins then could there? otherwise their births would have been entered at the same time? What a puzzle. |

Thank you everyone, from that I've been able to input uncle jack's (John) correct year of birth........ and correct the spelling of uncle lawrence to laurence!!!! Hopefully found a new entry of Daniel..... and discovered the "twin" thing was not a myth. I shall have to order the birth certificate for Daniel now... he must have died young because there was never any mention of him. |

hi not quite sure if i'm to start a new thread or whether "my helpers" will be able to see this.......... In my tree I had always put John Sparks birth year as being 1914 but with your help I see I got that wrong and it is 1912. Looking through my paperwork, it appears that I thought it was 1914 because when I had a trial on Ancestry I had found a death record for a John Briscoe Sparks (Briscoe taken from the grandparents) it showed death as 1989 but birth as 11 July 1914..... Are you able to find out if John Briscoe Sparks is co-incidence or if his mother's maiden name is Banks too? |
