Hi Kerry,

The only way to get parents names or the date of birth is to buy the birth certificate. You could look for a marriage between a Pennifold and a Packhan but without buying the certificate you can't be certain you have the right people.

Joan F Pennifold mothers maiden name Packhan in Brighton vol 2b page 329, 3rd qtr 1928.
Marriage
Joan F Pennifold married James W Southon in Brigthton vol 5h page 235, 4th qtr 1948.

Hi Sam
The best i can find out is that my Nan Joan Pennifold was born roughly in 1927 (dont quote me). and she married my grandad James Southon (born in 1929) in Brighton in December 1948.


Joan had a sister called Eleanor and possibly a brother called John but i am unsure of their dob.

Hi I am currently trying to trace back my Nans ancestors. My Nans name was Joan Pennifold before marrying my Grandad James Southon. Joan passed away in November 2007 and has a sisiter called Eleanor. This is all the information i have from this side of my family and i am very keen to learn more. If you can help please contact me.
