I know Albert married Matilda and that she is supposed to be from Canada but dont know if that is where he first emigrated to, and then crossed the boarder. I know quite a few emigrants did this. |

I see, on the 1880 US census his wife was born in Canada. Do you suppose he came to Canada first or did his wife emigrate to Michigan before marriage? |

I believe the surname is MALE and not hyphenated or whatever. I did try searching the census for an Albert Royal - wondering if he was base-born and mother later married. |
