I am trying to locate any information at all regarding our late father, Edward Williams. My brother and I believe he was for all intents and purposes born; 08/02/1908 in either Rockhampton or Maryborough, Queensland ( Australia ), of Welsh Parentage. Our Father never divulged much information about his past, except to say he basically had a lousy beginning from an early age. We were told he had a sister, perhaps by the name of Mary ( ? ),also we think his Mother's name was Ethel and Father's name also Edward. Around the age of 5 years, both he and his sister were placed in separate orphanages. All we know is that at some time the orphanage our Father was placed in had been burnt down decades ago. Hence all records were destroyed ( our Father told us ) This has been an impossible task to try and locate any information at all. Dad was a jack of all trades, he worked on Dairy and Sheep farms in and around Walcha, Tamworth and lastly an Orchard at Kenthurst ( orchard approx 1953 +) the NSW Gov Railways, the NSW Gov Buses ( around 1948-1950 ) and the State Brickworks at Homebush, NSW Australia. Please does anyone out there have any information which may piece together this Puzzle, |
