Charles William Robinson was the son of my Grandmother, Gertrude Appleby nee Robinson, he was born on 9th Dec 1910 at 121 Highbury Road, Notts, father not named, Gert was recorded on his birth cert as a Domestic Servant of Kirkby, residing at 121 Highbury Road, Notts. She married my Grandfather Arthur Appleby on 18th Nov 1911 in The Parish Church, Christ Church, Derby, their residence shown on marriage cert as 4 Borden's Yard, Abbey Street, Derby.
Any info on any of the above, especially the Robinson side would be greatfully received.
I do have more info on the Appleby side and if I can help anyone with their search I would be more than pleased to do so.

Her marriage cert gives her fathers name as Francis, but alas he was deceased and I have no idea when this happened.

Does the marriage certificate give her fathers occupation? There is one in Nottingham on the census who was a Coal Merchant, he appears to have died in 1895.

I believe this is the family David means.

Thanks All - had some Internet problems so been a while.
She was 20 when she married, I don't think Charles was adopted by surname into the Appleby family as I found his baptism records in Kirkby In Ashfield library, along with the rest of my fathers siblings, he was recorded as Robinson, with father as Arthur Appleby crossed out and father unknown added.
The marriage cert gave her father as Francis and under Rank or Profession as deceased.
I believe now that Francis may have been married twice and Gert may be from his second marriage.
