Hi, Can anyone explain to me the process that would have had to have followed for the Hind family to come to Geelong, Australia as assisted immigrants, 1852.How would they have known how and where to apply? What would they have needed to do, to be eligible to be chosen. Would they have just left as soon as they arrived in Liverpool, to board the Blanche. What sort of paperwork would there be? And where do I look for that? Would they have a job and some where to stay, as soon as they arrived? Please, what else do I look for and where? Thanks everyone,Kerry |
