Hi. Please can someone help point me in the right direction as i am now pulling my hair out with frustration.
I am very new to this so please bare with me! I am trying to find my great grandfather, John Willie Taylor or it maybe John William Taylor.He married my great grandmother in 1899 in Orsett Essex and he is on the marriage certificate as John Willie Taylor.I have them on the 1901 census but under the name of Tyler(not sure who made that mistake).The census says that he was born in bradford Yorks.His father was William Taylor and at the time of marriage William was deceased.Johns age at marriage was 29 years.This is the only info that i have.Rumour has it that he went to Australia but i dont know the exact year, i think sometime after 1911.If anyone has any useful tips then could you please pass them on as i just dont know wherelse to look.
P.S..Not sure if his father William originated from Ireland!!!

Did you great grandmother travel as well, if so what was her first name?

Hi Marilyn,

No my grandmother didn`t travel,she was born and bred in Grays Essex.She lived there all her life and is buried in one of the cemetries.Why he came from Yorkshire to Essex is a mystery!! Maybe he was looking for work? If i could just find his birth record it would at least be something to go on.
