39 Cadogan Place is listed with an Edward J. Hawkes and family.

UPDATE - how come I got someone else at that address? Is there more than one Cadogan Place in Chelsea?

Not certain how its done on family search site

but on ancestry select 1881

One of the options on there is search by address.

Even if you do not normally use ancestry it has got free index so I think it can be used you may need to register

Or put the address up and we will see if we can help

If you go to the 1881 census search page there is a box for name. Under this is a box for Residence (county or island). Under that is a box for "Street address". Type the address in there, and a surname in the name box if you have one.
