Please can someone look up Francis Tucker and Mary Ann Tucker on the above census. All I know about them is that Mary Ann married Francis abt 1844. Mary ann was born about 1824 in Milverton Somerset.

Ah so I cant be sure I have the right person then. Mary Ann Chorley was born in Milverton abt 1824. Her parents were Thomas Chorley and sarah Chorley. Mary Ann is at home with her parents on the 1841 census then she disappears. I was hoping I had found her. THank you so much for helping me.

I think the only way forward on this is to buy the marriage cert and see what her fathers name is on that.

There are a few mistakes in the transcribed version of the 51 census that Carrie posted. John Tucker Harris (not Haring) is brother-in-law. The 2 yr. old daughter is Jane Chorley Tucker.

Thanks Margaret. Still not sure she is my missing Mary ann Chorley. There are 2 other possible marriages I can also check out. 1846 Mary Chorley and either James Deering or Thomas Perrott

1848 Mary chorley and William Hawkr Bernard or David Tothill. So they should keep me out of mischeif for a while.

This is a stab in the dark but this Mary Ann is the right age with a father Thomas. However it's in Bristol.

Hi Margaret. sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I had to go to a hospital appointment.

That marriage could be her especially as her father was Thomas. Bristol isn't that far from MIlverton. So perhaps she moved there to find work. Maybe I will send for that cert as well. I had better start saving. I have managed to find births marriages and deaths for most of her brothers and sisters. She has just stumped me .
