My dad was Reginald Florian Thomas Shrimpton. He was born in Bushey Herts. His parents were Reginald Arthur and Evelyn May Davies. Grandad was a fishmonger. He ran Mc Fisheries in Rickmansworth. Dad had a relation called Tugela. I do not know if she was a Shrimpton or married into the family. She lived in Victoria Canada. I met her about 1978/9. She came to visit with her son. I cannot remember his name but we had a great time when i took him on nights out. I know she was named after a river in South Africa so maybe her father was in the Boar War???. The river is in the KwaZulu Natal provence. Landmarks are Tugela falls, Rourks Drift and aFort Tenedos. She did have a sister who was also named after a South African river. Afraid i do not know her name. I would be grateful for any info. Thanks |
