I have just found out that my grandads first wife was called Lillian but dont know her maiden name, is anyone going to Ireland and if so, would you be able to try and find the marriage certificate? I believe I got the year of their marriage wrong, I believe it would have been around the mid forties he married her as he married my nan in 1953.

Hi Dee

To be honest I am so new at this I have no idea where to go, who to contact. Is there a website for the ancestry BMDs, if so what is it, or do I have to go a visit somewhere for it. I'm sorry if I sound dumb but I just have no idea what to do.

Hi Dee

I will take your advice on board, I got so desperate now I will try anything. My only problem is I have no idea if they married or not. I may write to every Micheal, Francis and Chris Carroll in the Lonon area and hope one of them gets the letter.

Thanks

Hello

My grandad & nan moved back out to Ireland in the 1990's and my grandad died in Ireland.

Did Christopher die in the UK?
If so, maybe one of the sons was the informant and a copy of the death certificate would give you his address which would give you a starting point.

Hello

This is such a long shot but I am now very desperate to find my 3 half uncles and I am really starting to give up hope. I have such little information on them and my grandad has now passed away so I can't get the information off him. My grandad (whoes name was Christopher francis carroll born in 1926) was married to some lady (Dont know her name) but I believe they would have married about 1940. Together they had 3 sons, Micheal, Christopher & francis who I believe were all born in the 1940's. My grandad and their mum divored and my grandad met my nan (Mary), they had 2 daughters together called Janet and Michelle who were born in London (Janet is my mum and was born in 1955). I believe Micheal, Christopher & Francis were born in London but they could have been born in Ireland as my grandad is Irish. I believe they were all born in the 40's. I know they live in the UK but not sure if it was Chris or francis that MAY have moved to the USA or Australia. If you have a Micheal, Christopher or Francis Carroll in your family tree please could you contact me or could you even help look for them. My grandad seemed to think Michael was high up in Scotland yard but I seem to have come to a dead end as I don't know his exact dob or his warrent number.
They broke contact with my grandad when my mum was very young so not sure what happened in the family, to this day my mother doesnt know and there is no way we can approach my nan about this.

I really want to find these men, it would really make my christmas just to find my uncles.

There must be someone out there who knows them

Thanks
