4 males in total in the Brusher Mills family at Lyndhurst including Harry Mills(Brusher) . Charles Mills, of the Brusher family of Lyndhurst found to be living in St Mary district Southampton in 1871 age 43 , and 1881 age 53 Census..... How many children did he have if any in St Mary's.Southampton ?
James Mills 1823 of the same Lyndhurst famliy in 1861 was living in a city? What city? Southampton?
Maria Mills of Lyndhurst of the Brusher Mills family married a William Mills of Lyndhurst and has a son James Mills.What happened to James

Hi Ken,

Do you have any idea how I can winkle out the connection between my branch of the Mills family and the Thomas & Brusher branch, as my older relatives are sure that he, Brusher, was Great, Great, Great Uncle.

My branch is descended from William & Elizabeth Mills and their son James (b.1828, m. Maria Pearce in 1851), son James Walter (b.1852) married Mary Judd (m.1876), eldest son Harry (b.1877) married Sarah Jane Bean m.1902) 3rd son George Frederick (b.1907 married Marjorie Brien, Sept 1935) my father.

I would be most grateful for a helping hand,

hi. william for reply, yes indeed thomas mills was the father of brusher mills(snake catcher)you might be related as you are from andover longparish areas it is possible the main part of the family lived in emery down and lyndhurst area from abt 1820,s onwards thanks ken

Hi there,
Just found your message Kenneth. If it is the same Thomas Mills (m. c.1830 Ann Stote, and father to Henry/Harry 'Brusher' Mills), he was born in 1799 (not 1804) and was the third son of Richard Mills (1765-1838) and his second wife, Martha (nee Irish or Ferish, 1769-1852).
The above mentioned Brusher Mills was apparently my Great, Great, Great, Great Uncle! as far as I have been able to ascertain.

I have just seen your message.Have you tried putting the name Brusher Mills in your search bar?
Could this be the Thomas Mills you are looking for.
On the site there is a berth cert for Brusher and his father is a Thomas Mills and mother a Ann Stote.
The dates and area match.I dont know if I am related to this Mills family but my Mills family came from the Longparish and Andover areas.

thomas mills b1804 spearywell mottsfont.there is no baptism record for him on record .he married ann ,does anybody have any record of his parents or anything about him he died in lyndhurst.cheers ken
