Help please I am trying to trace my Grandad and relatives of his, he was born between Jan - mar 1889 and died in 1946. He married a Florence Edwards whose surname was previously Sorby from a previous marriage, they married between Oct-Dec 1919. All dates were in Sheffield South Yorkshire or West Riding in those days, I have had no luck in finding any information at all about him and am not at a dead end. Any help would be greatly appreciated |

You start by saying you have no information.........then give the names of his siblings............so you do actually have a lot of info. |

I only learnt of my grandads other siblings just before my dad died in Feb this year, but I cannot find any trace of them altogether in any census, so I am not sure if he got these aunts and uncles mixed up, and I dont seem to be able to find anything on my grandad in any of the census either. Would I beable to buy my grandads marriage cert from the local registrar or do I have to send away for it? please help |
