Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 169 Send Message	Really dont know where to start,am looking to find where my grandfather was born...All i know is was Harold George Edward Jones died in 1964? aged 49 and buried in Welwyn Hertfordshire.. Think he may have been born in Essex? sorry dont know alot more but would love to know how i go about finding info on him... Know he married Mary Eileen Winifred nee Westwood in Wheathampstead Herts.. Many thanks for any help Kerry

	I would start by getting his marriage cert, this will give you his age, fathers name and occupation and some times witness info can help. Roy

	You only need the info from the GRO to buy the cert, do you no the year? Roy

	Kerry you need the GRO ref. to find it we need some clues .ie when was the first child born . or do you know what age he was on marriage. ,anything to start off the search

	marriage ref Mar qtr 1938 Mary W E Westwood to Harold G E Jones St Albans 3a 1664 That cert will tell you both dads names so will be a cross check for both birth certs Shirley
