Trying to work out the referance number for the death :
Elizabeth Tennant , died 4th qtr 1964 , Rugby (born 1878)
Also trying to find the death of Elizabeth's husband William H Tennant , would imagine in Rugby also, certainly Warwickshire, they married december 1914 , don't know when and where he was born

Reference for Elizabeth is:

TENNANT Elizabeth, 86, Rugby, 9C, 938.
Q4 1964.

For William, it will be a long trawl through the death indexes if you have no idea when he died, he could have lived till he was 100!

The page number looks like 938 to me. Vol. no. 9c

You would be best to get Elizabeth's death certificate first as that will tell you whether she was "wife of......" or "widow of....." which will mean you will know whether her husband died before or after her.

FreeBMD doesn't go much past 1920. You have to have a subscription to Ancestry or Findmypast websites to get BMD's from that recently.
