If you go to familysearch.org and put in surname Padien and country Ireland you will see a few with the surname in Roscommon. There is an excellent website for researching Roscommon genealogy. Just Google for Leitrim-Roscommon Genealogy. |

I have had no success in trying to locate anyone with the surname of my GGgrandma born in county roscommon, ireland in 1840. she migrated to Moston, Manc. Lancashire approx 1860. Her name appears on her child's birth cert, wondering if the clerk spelt it wrong? any help would be great. |
