ROSE! Well done. I'd only got to 1922 & was taking a break. Shirley will be pleased. |

If he's a great uncle, doesn't mean one of his siblings is a relative. I assume in this case he married Shirley's great aunt Daisy. |

Shirley, it would really help if you know his father's name. |

If he was your great uncle.......what was the name of his sibling who is your direct ancestor? When and where was he/she born? And do you have the names of his/her parents? |

I am having a lot of trouble locating any information on my gt uncle, Bert Everitt. It would seem there are a couple of other Bert Everitt's out there born around the same year and neither have proved to be my uncle (one in Maldon, Essex and another in the Sudbury area). We think our Bert was born in the Wakes Colne, Essex area around 1895. He married Daisy Moulton we assume around 1920 but I can't find the marriage on FreeBMD. Perhaps the 1901 Census may give us a clue. It appears there was a Bertram Everitt born in Bures around the same time, so that could be him. Of course his first name could have been Albert and his surname could have been spelt differently too. It makes it very difficult to find him so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. |
