Tony Report 11 Oct 2007 13:07

I am looking for information on my late fathers family. My father John Henry ( known as Jack), married my mother Irene Joan (nee Goodliffe) and lived in White Post Road, Newborough and then Millfield Road, Deeping St James, both near Peterborough, until their deaths in 1986 and 1980 respectively

His mother, my grandmother, named Frances Maria (nee Rhodes) lived in Normanby-by-Spittal in Lincolnshire - in a row of cottages not far from the pub.

At the end of the row was a grocery shop run by a Mr Green, I think he also owned the row of cottages. One of her daughters, my Aunt Phillis also lived there. My grandfather, Charles William, died before I was born

My grandparents were wed in 1911 in West Firsby and my late father John Henry was born in 1912

My Aunt Madge lived in Owmby just down the road. I think her married name was Jois and her husband was also known as Jack. They had two sons Terry and Brian. We used to visit my gran during the summer when I was a child in the early 60's.

I also have an Aunty Kath who I think lived (or still lives) in Nettleham or Market Rasen and Aunty Joan who also lived in that area.

If anyone has any information I would be pleased to hear from you, my e-mail address is [email protected]. please mark your post- 'martin family tree' -as it will probably go into my junk mail and will be easier to spot

Thanks in advance
Tony Martin
