Thomas Platt and Emily Helena Forrester
Civil Marriage ( Stoke and Wolstanton ), Staffs. 1921.
That's all I know I'm afraid.
Many thanks,
Kath

What do you want checked? You will have to buy the marriage certificate to get any further details, as it is a civil marriage and therefore didn't take place in a church, you can't check the parish records.

Hi Sam,
Thought you needed the record ref. no. to be able to order it that's all.

If you order it direct from Stoke Registry Office, you don;t need the number. If you want it from the GRO you do. I will have a look now, I didn't realise that it was the reference number that you wanted.

Hi Sam,
Thanks very much for your help. Where did you find it by the way?

On Ancestry, you need to be a member to view and have to search each quarter. It is also on www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk but this only gives the year, not the GRO reference number.

Hi Sam,
I'm not a member of Ancestry. Perhaps I should join. Is it expensive and worthwhile?
Thanks again,
