On Ancestry I have found Ellen Elizabeth Nicholls 1908 Greenwich. Please could anyone get me any more information on her. I would like to know when she died. and family names,

You will need to order her birth cert to get her parent's names.

As for looking for marriages and a death that is a lot of work looking through Ancestry. It would take hours.

I think she married around 1940..If its the correct one she would havedied 1995.

I presume you've seen this on the partially transcribed index. All you get when you click on "view image" is the typed page from the complete index - which just gives you the same information as the partially transcribed index.

You will need to buy her birth certificate to find out her parent's names. To find what happened to her in later years (i.e. whether she married, had children etc.) you will have to search the complete index image by image starting ffrom when she would be about 16 years old and carrying on for however long you want to.
