There is the Death of a Wilfred George Jones at Dudley in May 2004.Hjs Date Of Birth is given as 01/01/1921.The GRO Register number is B005G,Entry number 160.

have you tried seraching elec rolls - see if and when he went away?
How long ago are we talking about ? maybe a forwarding address is with the new owner, or failing that knock the door and ask if their solicitor would be able to help - there must be a way of finding out where he went.

I am trying to locate the where abouts of my maternal grandfathers youngest brother, George Jones. His last known address was 5 Briery Road, Hasbury Farm Estate, Halesowen West Midlands. The last time I visited him there was Christmas 2001. Shortly after he telephoned to say that his wife Mary had had to go into residential nursing care and he seemed quite lost without her. I wasn't able to contact him again so visted his home to find it was empty and up for sale. He was born on 1st January 1921, and so would now be 86. I assumed he had passed away but have not been able to find a record of his death, and therefore wonder if he has also simply gone into residentail care. If anyone believes they recognise this person, please get in touch as he was my mothers only living blood relative besides my children and myself. We simply want to put our minds at rest.
