hi i'm tracing a my father in law's tree for his birthday.
His name David William Ball dob 18/11/1941 in glasgow
Father : Phillip Arthur Ball dob c1920 dod 1941 on HMS HOOD.
Phillip married (i think) Isabella Niel / McNiell
my father in law said he Had a Uncle Tom not sure when born or where .
G Father George from salbury no details except married lady with maiden name Pike.
I know there is not very much info, but if anyone could help, that would be great.

You are going to need to find someone that it's going to the records office in Edinburgh unless you can get there yourself. BMD's for Scotland are found on
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/
but it only covers births 1855-1906, marriages 1855-1931, deaths 1855-1956
The only other thing you can do is to hope that Phillip Arthur Ball's death was registered in Scotland as the registry will show the names of both his parents
