Hi there new to this
I have managed to find my
Great Grandmother GLADYS I ROLES born April,may,june 1921
twin sister of VIOLET F ROLES their mothers maiden name was EFFENY
Glayds married William R Newby in 1946
and died aged 41 in Jan 1963 all in Southampton

Is anyone able to elaborate on this info at all? so i can go a step further finding out more info as this is all a bit of a mystery as my gandfather never spoke of his family

Have you bought any certs?

Grandfathers birth cert?

Grandfathers marriage cert?

Gladys I Roles birth cert?....her marriage cert to William?

Sorry Gemma but this is the only SURE way forward.

Never pay more than £7 a cert.

Once your back to having someone alive in the 1901 census...it gets cheaper(not so much cert buying needed).....have fun

A possible birth of Gladys and Violets Mother....but this can only be confirmed by buying Gladys birth cert.
