I have just found out that my gran had a twin brother who died only a few hours old. Aparantly he was named Sam. Date of birth was 16th June 1916 and was born in Dover. Would Sam have been registered if he only lived a few hours? |

The details came from my grans journal which she wrote 30 years ago, I can't think of any reason as to why she would be wrong about this. |

My grans name is Lilian her birth was registered in 1919 in the 3rd qtr. She also had a sister Ivy Gertrude who was registered 1913 1st qtr Medway and a brother Richard who was registered 1918 in the 3rd qtr. There were another 6 other sons, one of which was called Ernest but the others I dont know the names. Ernest survived but the other 5 boys died as babies. |

You said in your first message that your grans date of birth was in 1916. I have had a look on findmypast.com and found a birth registered JUL/AUG/SEPT 1916 Lilian V Barringer mothers maiden name Dean. Registered in Dover. No other births with the same mothers maiden name and no deaths in that year either |
