Mary Report 9 Oct 2007 18:02

Frederick Stanley and Mary Louisa Scowby (twins) were born in Nottingham, 17.7.1913. Their siblings, Arthur (1906), Robert (1909), Edith (1911) and Lily (1923) were all born in Bradford, to parents Alice Olive (nee Robson) and Arthur Brooks Scowby. I am Lily's daughter, and although she passed all this information on to me I have been unable to find out why Fred and Mary were born in Nottingham when the family was from Bradford. (My brother suggests a day trip, but I don't really go along with that!)

I know it's a long shot, but perhaps someone out there can help. I know Fred was a POW during the war, married Beryl and settled in the Cheltenham area, and Mary died in 1938 in childbirth.

Any help with any of the Scowby family would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mary.
