Trying to find details of Gt Gt Grandfather William Marks b. about 1834 possibly in Ireland. Married Sarah ? born about 1839 in Bexhill on Sea. Gt Grandfather was William John Marks b. 1858 in Bethnal Green. Moved to Hull and married Mary Dunkin. Was a Police Constable in Hull Force and I believe a Moneylender. Lived for many years in Sculcoates, Yorkshire.

Would be interested in any information regarding the family.

Hi Kathleen

This may well be your Grt Grandfathers birth reg:

Births Sep 1857
Marks William John Bethnal Gn 1c 239

Which was found on the freeBMD web site
If you purchase the certificate it will give you both parents names including Sarah's maiden name which you will need to search for their marriage certificate. This document will have the bride & grooms fathers name's & occupations helping you to find out more about their families before marriage.

All the best

Kathleen
