Hi Bernard,
If Edward Bishop was serving in Brecon (Brecknock) try contacting the Royal Regiment of Wales museum (South Wales Borderers as was),as there's a good chance he may have been serving in that regiment. They have a large archive of personnel going back a long way. Hope this helps.

Hi Bernard

What was your grand mothers maiden name on the Marriage Cert? Their ages, their fathers name & occupations? the witnesses?

All this info will help pin point them on the census details ( hopefully)

Elizabeth was born in 1873 her fathers name was William and they lived in Brecon she married EDWARD GEORGE BISHOP a serving soldier in BRECKNOCK tenth of january 1895 any help would be appreciated as I have come to a dead end as there are so many of the same name and dates
