On 1871 census for JANE MAYSON age 5 months, Bethnal Green (also contains Elizabeth Mayson age 3, Jane Mayson age 20). Could someone be so kind as to provide the relationship for Jane (5 months) and Elizabeth (3 years) to the head (John) and also the address.

Many thanks

Elizabeth is listed as grand daughter
Jane as daughter but image might suggest she is also grand daughter

Thanks, that would make sense if they were both grandaughter, as I think they are both the children of Jane Mayson age 20 ..... not married !

I think now I am getting simewhere with this.

You would think I would be able to find the Jane Mayson and her children on 1881 ( I use FamilySearch), she would be 30 but no joy. Yet I know that Jane poss died in 1883 and the Jane & Elizabeth both married in 1892 & 1890. I have even looked at diff spelling - MASON, which incedently is the family spelling of the name now !

Thanks Neil, that is the death I have down for her. She seems to have dropped of the face of the earth in 1881 for census purposes.

Thank you Silvia, I do have that census. It is after 1871 I am having trouble locating Jane Mayson b. 1850 and her two children.

Much appreciated though.
