Looking for Links to Jack or John Nixon

Jack Nixon was born on 8th August 1894 according to his WW1 discharge papers. His father lived in Russel Street, Batley, Yorkshire in either 1914 or 1916 and Jacks pension address in 1916 is Ryders Green Road West Bromwich.
His papers say he was born in the parish of Walsall and that he was a coal miner. But do not give an address of where he was living at the time of enlistment, so could be the westmidlands or yorkshire. He enlisted at Caterham in Surrey and was medically examined at Pontefract. He joined the Coldstream Guards.
His papers also name a brother William as next of kin along with his father John. William seems to have been living in Batley with his father. It is also possible, but I am not certain, it is unclear on the papers, but William may have been born around the 1914 period. There is a zero in brackets next to his name but is not known if it is age related.
Jack is often used for a boy called John so he may have been born John. Does this seem to ring any bells with anyone? Does either Jack John or William seem to fit with you? If they do please do get in touch.
