You'd get quite a bit of useful info by getting the birth certificates and marriage certificate. The marriage cert will give you the fathers' names and occupations, as well as giving a probable DoB (give or take a bit). That would give you confidence to choose the right birth records to get the birth certs: both parents' names plus mothers' maiden names. Then you can start to use the censuses as well as the BMD records. |

Daughter, Jean Hewson (one of 3 daughters) trying to find info about my father Harold Frederick Bayley, known as Bill Bayley, married to Winifred Kate Buck. Both now deceased, born in early 1900s. Father originally lived in Folkestone, Kent then moved to Lambeth, London & married. He had three brothers, one called 'Reg',& lost his parents as a young lad. |
