Pamela,

thanks for the marriage cert info! That's brilliant. And the 1901 census is a bonus too! I couldn't seem to find him. Thanks ever so much for your help, at least I can move a bit further on now!

Hi. I am trying to confirm the parentage of Thomas Petherick, born in Beaford in about 1826. He married Elizabeth (Betsy) Heard in about 1848 and had eight (known) children. He worked as an agricultural labourer. I have him on all the census up until 1891, so I can only assume that he died before 1901 (I'm looking for that at the moment). However, I want to confirm his parents names. I have reason to believe that his parents may have been Robert and Betty Petherick, who lived next door to him in 1851, but I can't be sure. can anyone help?
