Hi,

This may or may not be the correct place to ask for help but at the moment its a case of nothing ventured nothing gained.

I have been trying to research my Bamber history but to no avail. I do know that my father Thomas Alexander Bamber enlisted in the Royal Ulster Rifles under army number 24134915 on 2nd October 1967 aged 19 and in 1968 where he then joined The Kings Division from approx 1968 until he was discharged from the army on 30th June 1972 after serving in areas such as Bahrain, Gibraltar and Tobruk.

If anyone can advise where would be the best place to start looking for information on my fathers military background it would be gratefully received.

If any of these dates even ring any bells I actually have a quite a few pictures of his whole regiment from the times they travelled abroad if they would be of interest.

Thanks for your time
Karina Bamber.
