Find Ancestors

I wonder if anyone could help me. My name Is Anne-Louise Josephine Murray. My Parents are Michael Murray and Susan Heptinstall. I have done a lot of research on my mothers' side of the family but I am stuggling with my fathers side. My dad was born in York in 1947 to Henry Mellor Mckay Murray and Josephine Lee. He has a brother Henry G Murray and a sister Patricia. Henry Mellor Mckay Murray's parents were Henry Mckay Murray and Beatrice Lena Snowdon, who married in york on 14 Feb 1914. I am trying to find Henry Mckay Murray's parents. The family rumour is Henry was born in scotland but the only Henry Mckay Murray born in Scotland was in 1890, which doesn't fit the information that is given on Henry's and Beatrice's marriage certificate as Henry gave his age as 21. Also on the marriage certificate it gives Henry's father as another Henry Mckay Murray (deceased0 who had been a private in the 17th Lancers) but I can't find any information about him. If any one can shred any info on the matter I'd love to hear from you.
